Barb Valentin - B. Valentin
I am a freelance writer, breadwinner and over-scheduled parent, happily married to the seasoned stay-at-home dad of our five mostly marvelous boys, one of whom has Asperger's Syndrome and ADHD.
In addition to writing family-focused feature articles for the Chicago Tribune Media Group, I write "The Plate Spinner Chronicles", a popular, regularly-appearing column published in the Tribune's TribLocal section and blog at: http://theplatespinnerchronicles.blogspot.com/.
While I specialize in topics that are relevant to working parents, I am prone to comedic slants. Most recently, I earned an Honorable Mention in the "America's Funniest Humor!" Writing Contest held by HumorPress.com, one of the Internet's highest-ranking humor contest sites.
